Kurrajong Waratah provides support, training and opportunities to people with an intellectual disability/development delay and their families/carers through our targeted services.

Kurrajong Waratah commenced operations in 1957 with the aim of meeting the needs of people with a disability and their families. The aim continues today with over 700 babies, children and adults receiving our services and support daily. Our focus on the ability and on the potential of the individual remains the key objective in all our programs.

As part of our aims we continue to ensure our programs are designed to create an awareness in the community of the needs and abilities of people with disabilities and their families.

Our community education program helps draw public attention to the needs and aspirations of babies, children and adults with disabilities and their families. It creates greater awareness of their capabilities and of the significant contribution they can make to the life of their community.
