The KEIS Team

Early Childhood Intervention is a partnership between families, therapists and educators to provide a coordinated program for the child. The role of each of the team members working with the child is as follows:

The Educator works on the development of early learning skills such as problem solving, play skills, socialisation and behaviours.

They also assist children in their transition to early childhood settings and to school.

The Speech Pathologist works with the child to develop his/her ability to communicate with their family and friends. The Speech Pathologist also works with children with feeding difficulties.

The Physiotherapist works with the child to encourage the development of control and coordination of muscle movement.

The Occupational Therapist aims to enhance the child's ability to participate in the every day activities of play, self care and learning.

The Family Support Worker provides counselling, group work and support to families.

The Psychologist provides psychometric assessments, autism assessments, crisis intervention, parenting programs and group facilitation.
