Participation & Inclusion

KEIS believes that every child has the right to participate and be included in the life of the community.

We believe each person with a disability should have the opportunity to develop and maintain a valued role in the community.

We actively encourage children to participate in early childhood settings such as Preschool and Long Day Care.

KEIS will provide services which will facilitate the child's inclusion and participation in these facilities. This support will extend to all available forms of child care and Preschool.

Transition to School:
The KEIS team provides support to families when their child is transitioning to school. The team members are available to accompany the family to visit schools. We will make relevant referrals to support organisations (DADAC & Spastic Centre etc) and schools. The team will complete a comprehensive transition to school report to be handed over to the school the child will be attending.
