Referral to KEIS

Eligibility for Entry to KEIS

  • The child must have a paediatric assessment by a paediatrician and a paediatrician's referral to KEIS.
  • The child has a significant developmental delay and or a diagnosed disability in two or more areas of their development.
  • The child is aged between 0-school entry
  • Family lives in Wagga Wagga, Junee, Coolamon, Narrandera, Lockhart, Tumut, Gundagai, Tumbarumba, Temora or Cootamundra Local Government areas.

Developmental delays would be in the following areas:

-Gross Motor
-Fine Motor
-Communication Development - expressive and receptive language
-Cognitive

Please Note : Behaviour is not considered to be an area of delay.

Rangeof Disabilitiesand Developmental Delay of Children attending KEIS:

KEIS services a wide range of children from children with Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Autistic Spectrum Disorder and children with other rarer syndromes.

However the largest group of children we provide a service for are children who are delayed in their development.
