ew@ste

Computer and Mobile Phone Recycling is a joint initiative between Work Solutions and Kurrajong Recyclers (divisions of Kurrajong Waratah).

ew@ste has three main objectives:

  1. To provide realistic and hands on experience and pre employment training for interested people with disabilities and significiant barriers to employment in the Information Technology industry.
  2. To limit the flow of unwanted and unserviceable computers going to landfills, to raise awareness of the opportunity to recycle computers and electrical equipment and to explore the local market potential for reuse and recycling of computer products.
  3. To provide low cost computers to disadvantaged members of the community.

ew@ste is currently providing support and training in areas such as work preparation, safety procedures, material identification, mechanical assembly (disassembly) and information technology. The programme is linked to an accredited pre employment training course (Certificate I in Employability Skills) and also includes online computer training.

We have recycled many tonnes of copper, aluminium, plastic and steel that would otherwise have been buried in landfills.

There are several mobile phone collection points in Wagga Wagga which are:
