Kurrajong First Contact
Kurrajong First Contact is your first stop for NDIS information and assistance!
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is starting in our local area in July this year.
The establishment of Kurrajong's First Contact team to provide assistance and support, is just one of the many initiatives we have developed to help people through the NDIS.
First Contact also helps people with a disability to find vocational training, employment, therapy and other services.
Preparing for your NDIS Planning Meeting
Pre-planning for your NDIS Planning Meeting is an important job. Kurrajong supports eligible NDIS participants to pre-plan by conducting a Disability Needs Analysis.
A Disability Needs Analysis is a face to face meeting with a Kurrajong First Contact Rep, where the NDIS participant, their family members and carers, can convey all of the participant's current supports (both formal and informal), their needs and their goals, and have the First Contact Rep capture these in an in-depth report and snapshot, written in language that a NDIS Planner will understand.
Our experience is that where a Disability Needs Analysis has been completed, the NDIS participant will end up with a more suitably funded NDIS plan to help achieve a life of choice.
If you are a person with disability, a family member or carer with questions about the NDIS, or would like to discuss the possibility of a Disability Needs Analysis, then please telephone Kurrajong on 1300 764 620 and our First Contact team will help you.
Kurrajong First Contact can also assist with;
